SUMMARY
Cooperate with Petroleum Development for optimizing the value of oil and gas fields’ production and reservoir recovery through the introduction of real time dynamic modeling and effective automation to achieve balanced injection and production processes.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Survey the market and identify the most promising automated gas lift system. Plan and implement a pilot for proof of concept and consequently plan client wide application if successful.
2. Liaise with EOR team on the performance of artificial lift pilots and ensure alignment with the gas lift automation project.
3. Coordinate with Petroleum Development to review latest reservoir test results and studies and investigate ways of improving production recovery through offline and online modeling for all fields.
4. Identify with Petroleum Development the use of downhole pressure, temperature, flow rate and downhole control valve to support the smart field philosophy in all fields.
5. Verify with Petroleum Development the performance of already installed downhole sensors and controls.
6. Advise on remote monitoring, control and surveillance tools required for reservoir management and the optimization of oil production, gas lift and gas injection.
7. Survey the market place for other available downhole sensors and controls and check their relevance and performance with share holders and other users.
8. Explore available techniques for well monitoring systems that predict online the production rate of wells and evaluate with Petroleum Development and Operations the performance of SHELL system tried in Bab.
9. Verify with Operations the performance of multiphase flow meters tried in the client for well testing and continue observing the performance of all multiphase meters for accuracy and repeatability of well testing.
10. Prepare blueprints, drawings, layouts and other visual aids to address requirements and indicate progress to management.
11. Work with NEB Petroleum Development team to complete the dynamic model of NEB field until it becomes functional and continue observing its performance.
12. Recommend to the management the way forward in dynamic modeling based on the experience with NEB model.
13. Explore and advise on techniques to optimize and automate the gas lift process utilizing online modeling.
14. Conduct surveys to gather field data.
15. Verify with Petroleum Development and Operations the performance of artificial lift pilots.

Work as a contractor within network services environments delivering support and implementation services within the following areas:-
-          The Data Network Support Team are responsible for managing a very large data network, comprising over 1100 sites and 120 firewalls, as part of a long term government contract
-          This role is to assist in the management, monitoring, troubleshooting and support of all firewalls and Intrusion Prevention Systems across those sites as well as the customer firewalls within the VMP POP sites. The firewalls at the VMP POPs and data hosting centres underpin the availability of the IPT Telephony System and all IPCC Contact Centre services and are critical to the Service Operations team's ability to support both platforms
-          Service cover is provided via manned presence Monday to Friday 7:00 - 21:00 and Saturday/Sunday 9:00 - 17:00. All implementation and intrusive investigative work is performed outside of these hours and there is an ongoing requirement and expectation that technicians are prepared to work during these periods on occasion. The interaction and co-ordination of these actions regularly requires that work is carried out from the operations centre in Newcastle.
Technical requirements:

Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager
To lead quality management systems, philosophies and methodologies by implementing policies, procedures, strategies & quality objectives consistent with business needs & customer expectations.

Person Specifications:
- 4 or 5 years Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Post graduate degree is desirable.
- Total of 15  years experience, 7 years of which is in a senior quality assurance position
- ASQ certification in CQM/OE, CQA, CQE is desirable
- In depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 compliant quality system, quality audits, regulatory compliance
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation of process/performance improvement initiatives

• Checks contractors invoices, allocates job numbers & recommends invoices for approval.

Drilling Engineer - Level 4


Purpose and Scope

Coordinates and controls all drilling and workover engineering activities on assigned rigs. Includes the preparation of drilling proposals, drilling and workover programs and the provision of technical expertise to optimize drilling operations and ensure their completion within the approved budget. Participates in tender preparation, contractors' pre-qualification and the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget.

Visits drilling/workover rig sites regularly and acts as operation focal point between Rig-site & Main office.  Ensures coordination and integration within the Team & with the rest of organization.

• Performs study on the operational and testing procedures in order to optimize the cost and time. • Acceptability and implementation of study recommended changes in operations.
 
• Assists Team Leader in administering a minimum of two contracts as assigned valued at + $10 million. • Assigned contracts are maintained in line with company procedures.
• Verification of contractors’ invoices.
 
• Coordinates the preparation of final well drilling and workover reports. Monitors daily the collection of relevant data contained in the drilling report. Prepares regular drilling and wokover engineering activity reports as required. • Information in the report provides complete record of rig activities from the spudding operation to rig release, and that it can be used for future diagnosis and optimization study work.
 
 
Drilling Engineer - Level 4


• Prepares special technical reports on existing or future projects, i.e., use of fiberglass casing in observation wells.  • Risk assessments HAZOP are made for all new tools and equipment & trails.
 
• Prepares the Team’s input to the Division’s Business Plan including costs for each well/type based on planned drilling and the workover schedules as advised by PDD. • Sound recommendation for business plan well duration and cost of different well types

1. Basic Function and Scope :

Studies, analyzes and interprets geological data related to sub-surface conditions of existing or prospective reservoirs. Prepares various geological reports, plans, analyses; interprets and evaluates well logs and participates in studies to discuss, delineate and appraise existing and undeveloped reservoirs.


2. Duties Performed:

a.  Analyzes and interprets cuttings and core samples, fossils, oil and gas shows of wells during drilling. Identifies sub-surface formations and boundaries by comparing with previously determined interpretations. Recommends coring intervals, casing depths, logging intervals, total depth, etc.
 
b.  Assists in the preparation of well development programs and in the appraisal of drilling locations. Compiles logs and reports on wells after completion. Assists in the preparation of drilling programs for wells at different horizons within producing fields.
 
c.  Monitors, studies, analyzes and interprets all sub-surface geological data related to conditions existing in a field which may connect several reservoirs; reviews and appraises this data and its interpretation with a view to make recommendations for further work.
 
d.  Assists in the development and implementation of planning and costing studies and assists in regional geological studies.
 
e.  Prepares and reviews the geological appraisals of aquifers which are connected with reservoir pressure maintenance and provides information and advice on a wider spectrum of hydro-geological problems. h.  Keeps abreast of new development in reservoir geology. Includes attending and representing the Company in conferences, symposia, fora, society meetings and relating functions to identify new development of interest to Company. 3. Work Contacts :

 Regular contacts with other geoscientists/engineers in the team up to coordinator level to receive work direction and provide routine study results. Occasional contacts with contractors to review and discuss work activities.
  
4. Independence of Operation :

Works according to specialized technical procedures and professional standards. Acts independently in carrying out day-to-day activities. Study findings, significant problems and completed work is reviewed by more experienced Reservoir Engineering staff.

Accountability

Incumbent is responsible for analysis and accurate interpretation of cuttings and core samples, fossils and hydrocarbon shows during drilling. Findings are used as basis for construction of reservoir geological models. Incorrect analysis / descriptions may lead to costly mistakes though the impact of such mistakes are usually limited through review and further check by more experienced geologists.
