Their transportation planners act as independent advisors to public and private clients, providing in-depth analyses and forecasting for urban and rural development. Their services cover all aspects of transportation and include planning for highway networks, public transport systems, as well as airports.

About the Role
Transport Planner to strengthen the existing core Traffic/Transportation capability in the Basingstoke office and to assist in winning and undertaking work (for all disciplines), and developing the existing well-regarded discipline team(s).
Your main responsibilities will be to:
. Help ensure successful delivery of projects and to provide wide-ranging traffic/transportation expertise to multi-disciplinary projects within the Groups traffic/transportation team.
. Co-ordinate technical and project management focus for the application of specialist traffic/transportation skills available elsewhere within the firm to relevant projects. 
. Assist in and sometimes be responsible for delivery of technical, financial and management requirements of projects, supported by a team.

About You
You will have a good first degree in a numerical subject such as Maths, Operational Research, Geography, Economics, Engineering. A post graduate qualification in traffic/transportation is desirable but not essential. You will also have significant experience in at least one of the following areas:
. Multi-modal modelling & feasibility studies using EMME2, SATURN, VISUM, TRIPS/Cube Voyager or OMNITRANS
. Pedestrian modelling using LEGION, PEDROUTE or PAXPORT
. Transport and junction assessments including ARCADY, PICADY, OSCADY, LINSIG or TRANSYT
. Micro-simulation using VISSIM or PARAMICS
. Transport Assessment studies
. Economic and financial appraisals, and Business Case appraisals
. Transport master planning
. Toll roads, DBFO & PFI
