Mechanical Engineer
- Provides construction engineering and technical support for one or more Construction Engineering disciplines within an area on large stand-alone projects.
- Provides construction engineering and technical support to all construction engineering efforts for a specific discipline on smaller projects.
- Supervises or coordinates the work construction engineers, draftsmen, technicians, and other personnel who provide assistance on specific assignments.
- Remains knowledgeable of requirements for applicable codes and standards on a project.
- Receives and distributes project design documents, often supervising the field engineering office.
- Manages the site survey and provides horizontal and vertical control.
- Assists craftsmen, foreman, and project supervisor with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings.
-Often performs constructability assignments in the home office.
-Coordinates system completion and turn-over with regard to start-up activities for assigned systems.
Job Requirements
Mechanical Engineering Degree with 10 plus years Construction experience.
High Rise (Tower) experience required.
Must possess thorough knowledge of Building Plumbing and Fire Sprinkler Distribution Systems and Associated Equipment Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand fluent English.
Ability to write logical reports.
Ability to follow instruction.
Possible night shift work schedule.
